Quality Control Course

Who should attend


This course is aimed at those involved in carrying out quality control duties at MOT Testing Stations, and gives guidance in the areas subject to checking.

Benefits
This course will clearly state the requirements surrounding the quality control function and will re-calibrate existing skills to provide confidence that the VTS quality controller complies with VOSA standards.

1 Day course content
Premises: VTS sign, parking bays, waiting / 11/02/08 viewing area, MOT notice board / posters, general condition.

Security: Unused ET's and spare smart cards adequately safeguarded Documents: Correct completion of hand written VT20's, VT30's

Sources of Reference: Testers manual, guide, regulations and special notices up to date and available to testers.

Equipment: Condition, calibration, etc.

Staff: Ensuring correct procedures and standards are used and proper use of equipment, including VTS device.

Testing: How to audit the quality of testing to ensure correct standards are being maintained. Giving feedback: How to ensure the message gets across.

Projects: Several projects are used to give the students practice in identifying errors in both practical and documentation elements of the test. Recording QC checks on VTS device
