Drive Shafts
For front wheel drive and 4 Wheel drive the drive shafts should be checked for wear and tear.
The drive shafts come from the gearbox/differential and enter the center of each hub of the front wheels.
Turn each wheel and inspect for freedom of movement. Check that the rubber gaiters
(Protective corrugated rubber cones at each end of the shaft) are not split or damaged.
Check that each drive shaft is straight and undamaged.
